This Saturday morning I woke up stoked it was time to get ready to go to SD for the charger game. As Jenn was in the shower and my son running around my room like a chicken with his head cut off I decided to check my BlackBerry to see if there was anything going on....

Well, this past weekend my mom and her friends decided to do a girls trip. Now for those that don't know my mom....she is my beer pong partner at times and is damn good..so we can say it was going to be a fun weekend for them. Well not too much fun come Friday night.

As they were out that night just fresh from getting off the water and getting cleaned up to have the fun and chaos they like to cause a fire was brewing right off the water. How close well our house is 100 yards or so from the water and cliffs were our dock is at....And that is were the fire was burning. My mom along with everyone at the area had to evacuate, now being our community is owned by most all friends and people we know well, my mom went around making sure people were out, even as to the extreme of busting down a door to a home knowing someone was inside asleep, its just how caring she is.

So the plane of this is, someone was playing with fireworks, set the weeds on fire and burned down not only palm trees and weeds but we do not have a dock anymore, one that my dad built when i was 4 years old with friends, but we have over 6k in damage to our brand new boat that we have had for a season.

So the next time you decide to set one off and it looks cool to watch them, and you think I'm a adult I know what I'm doing.....Think of what can happen what you could possibly do some families homes, what trip you may ruin. And this was not a kid whom did it.....

Hey Jay, this is your mom not dad. It was a very scary and frightning evening to say the least but thankful that no structures were burnt. And yes I saved the floating beer pong. Us girls finished our weekend off (once we got all the ashes out of the boat) with a beer pong challenge and great night of dancing at Martinez bar. I would like to thank everyone that assisted and personally helped me. I met a few people that weekend that knew I had a place at Fishers and when they heard about it they came looking for me to see if they could help. I have to say that 99% of the river community geniunly care about their fellow boaters. Thanks again and safe boating!

yea they even had one girl on the patrol pontoon taking pictures.....if only she would post all the pics lol....
