Go to DUI CHECK POINT/SAFETY CHECK PICTURES.

Check out this new check point between the gorge and the sand bar. They set it up in the morning and were pulling everyone that was coming down river.

They aren't screwin around anymore. Always need to be sure to have a DD. Teach the kids young like my family did with me.

i agree it is way to easy to do something stupid on those big things....i am glad to always have a DD in our group

Are they going to continue doing this check point every weekend now?? I can Imagine Labor Day There gonna be everywhere like Usual but worst.

I love everyone's facial expressions... It's like they are all pissed... They could have been like me, home over the weekend instead of being on the water.

They usually at least have a few boats patrolling at the bottom end of the no-wake area through Devil's Elbow just scoping people out and looking for "suspicious" drivers. I drove through there on Memorial day completly sober, never felt better about not drinking.

The thing that pissed me off is that most of the pontoons and cookie cutter boats went right through. They were only pulling over performance and custom boats.

How were they pulling people over?

Whenever I have seen them it's usually a pick and choose kind of deal. They have bino's and point to the one's they want to stop.

Yeah you have to be carefull at these check points. Not only will you get a OUI they also ticket you for all other boating violations. Things like not having enough life jackets, old fire extinguisher etc. Great way to ruin your day
