No matter hard I try I can not seem to get river off the brain. My life revolves around when I can get on the water next...I bought a dirt bike in 2006 to try and give myself something to do in the off season however this purchase was in vein. I sold this venture in less than a year in hopes that the finds would get me on the river more often. This website gives me hope that I am not the only man that stays up till 2 in the morning looking at boat adds on craigslist while my girlfriend comes out of the bedroom and asks me what the hell I am doing and why I am so obsessed! Tell me I am not alone!

Great Thread.... There is something about the River that makes us all crazy. We are lucky enough to have a place on the River in Needles, and even during the winter time we spend countless hours sitting in the golf cart just hanging out down by the water.

I think we all should plan an off season trip. I think it would be fun to hang out and freeze our butts off in the channel or something! I will be going out there more after the holidays are done an maybe a weekend in dec. After the first of the year I'm planning on filming a boating safety video which I will use to promote safe boating and hopefully save some lives next season.

I love off season trips to fix up the place and just mess around. The boating safety video is a great great idea.

We should meet up for the boat parade in Havasu i think its the first weekend of December the 5th, Its a pretty awesome event, (beautiful) we can spend the day in the channel then watch the boats go bye at night.

my dad was the same way. as soon as my mom mentioned the idea of possibly getting a bigger boat he was up all hours of the night searching for one. he still randomly goes on craigslist and looks at boat ads. force of habit?
