It is also Mrs. Pirate's Birthday weekend... and we will be having an '80's theme party at the bar... if anyone is still conscious enough to attend... As soon as I know more (about the party and the tube float)... I will post up.

Just make sure your float is large enough for an EZ-Up...

Any new and exciting ideas for a big float?? last year, i kinda created a train wreck. I think we'll bring the sea doo's out for towing just in case the wind kicks up again. By the way, does anyone have any big 55 gallon plastic water barrels laying around?? Like the ones that you store water in for horses and stuff... i'm thinking of a floating platform of some sort just in case you are wondering...these are light weight and float well (if the caps are still present...)

~ June 5 ~ 33rd Annual Great Western Tube Float ~
~ Rockin’ the River Theme ~
Get a Tube and a lifejacket and float about 8 miles down the Colorado River to the blue Water Resort & Casino! Meet lots of different folks from all over and have a great time. Prizes for many different categories of “floaters”. Big beach party at Casino Beach area. Don’t forget waterproof sunscreen. This is a huge event. Last year, we had 1200 registered floaters.

It is fun as hell, Charlie... You could do it that way... you could also plan ahead, and drop off a car at the casino before hand... then float the the car area... BRING PLENTY OF WATER!! Here are a few pics from last year...

If you want to enter the "Race" or the "Best Float" you will need to enter (928-669-2174.). If you want to go out and float down river... have fun...

We are at Rio and the float basically starts from just above our park. you could bring your floats to the rock house launch ramp and go from there. only thing with that is you'd have to swim out a little ways. but that's your best bet i would say
sucks i'm not gonna be there other wise i'd say you should hang with us at Rio! have a great time though...the weather should be amazing
