Happy Friday everyone! It's going to be a bit warmer this afternoon, as highs rise slightly above normal, ranging from 98-103. Strong high pressure will dominate our weather into the weekend bringing a BIG spike in temperatures.
Weekend weather forecast
Tomorrow's highs in the Valley will range from 104-107, and soar to 110 by Sunday. That would be our first 110-degree high of the year, and tie a record. On average, over the last 30 years, we hit our first 110 on June 10th, but it could be worse… the earliest 110 was May 8th in 1989!
Temperatures in the state will range from 110-115 on Sunday and Monday, so an Excessive Heat Watch is in effect, and could turn into a warning or advisory. There's also an Excessive Heat Warning in effect for parts of Mohave county, including Kingman & Lake Havasu City, from Saturday through Monday
