Hey All!
I am new to the forum so I wanted to say hi real quick. My name is Selena and I am from Redlands, CA!
On to my question, I heard from various people that some psycho put rebar in Copper Canyon so when people dove off the cliffs they would basically land on the metal and die from that. Any truth to that? It's really kept me from jumping off anything there or any where. It's stuck in my head!

Welcome to the site Selena.
I'm really hoping this is just a rumor because my boyfriend does flips off the rocks in Copper. He does that everytime we're out there and that is a lot. I doubt if anything is there. Just google searched it and nothing came up. When did you hear this?

like boobman said, there are divers that dive in the canyon, i'm sure they would take note and notify the authorities. With that said, be careful.

Welcome to RF Selena, I think it must be a just a rumor otherwise there would be alot of dead jumpers. maybe after the 4th of July holiday I'll do a treasure hunt dive at Copper canyon and scope it out. I will keep u posted.

Haha, that's kinda my plan too. I always carry my scuba gear and will likely be staying Monday.
